9K a year Camp Tevya is an overnight camp looking to hire amazing staff for the summer! Come join the incredibly talented and dedicated team of camp professionals at Camp Tevya, a spirited overnight camp.
Situated on beautiful Lake Potanipo, Camp Tevya is a summer home for more than 400 campers and 140 staff.
As an integral member of our Leadership Team, Head Counselors support and supervise a cohort of up to 60 campers and 20 counselors.
Head Counselors work to ensure the social, emotional, and physical safety and well-being of their campers and counselors.
Head Counselors live in a private, air-conditioned room with private a bathroom.
Competitive compensation, travel stipends to/from camp depending upon distance to camp, workers' compensation, reimbursement for job-required trainings/certifications, days off and camp tuition stipend for children attending camp.
Our ideal candidate would have strong verbal communication skills, a passion for working with kids, supervisory experience, conflict resolution skills, have great interpersonal skills, and a strong desire to be part of an incredibly tight-knit camp community.
Previous overnight camp experience is ideal.
Contract dates are June 17, 2024-August 16, 2024.
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee daily life of campers and counselors in their unit from Wake Up through Lights Out; Communicate with parents regularly; Follow and enforce camp standards; Provide verbal and written feedback of each counselor; Provide ongoing staff training.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years with prior supervisory experience; Passion for working with children; Candidates with professional backgrounds in education, social work, or similar fields are ideal.
